Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about your new ubtan ritual.
Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes. Aayura’s Skin Glow Ubtan Powder is made only from natural ingredients with no parabens, synthetic fragrance, bleach or harsh chemicals, so it is gentle on sensitive skin. As with any new skincare product, please do a patch test: apply a little on the inside of your wrist or behind your ear and wait 24 hours before using it on your face.
How often should it be used?
For best results, use it 3–4 times a week as a face pack, or daily as a gentle ubtan cleanser instead of soap. If your skin is very dry or sensitive, start with 2–3 times a week.
When will results be visible?
Most customers notice softer, fresher-looking skin after the very first use. A brighter, more even-looking glow typically builds over 3–4 weeks of regular use. Results vary from person to person.
Is it safe for daily use?
Yes. The formula is gentle enough for daily use. Mix with water or gulab jal (rose water) for a light daily cleanse; for a richer face pack, mix with kachcha doodh (raw milk), dahi (curd) or honey and use a few times a week.
Does it work in Indian summers and humid weather?
Yes — it is ideal for hot, humid weather. Rice powder helps absorb excess oil and sandalwood has a naturally cooling effect, leaving skin feeling fresh. In dry winter months, mix it with milk or malai and follow with a moisturiser.
Does it help with tan and dullness?
Regular use gently exfoliates and helps reduce the look of tan and dullness caused by sun and pollution, revealing fresher, brighter-looking skin. It is not a bleach and does not change your natural skin tone — it helps your own skin look its healthiest.
Will turmeric leave a yellow tint?
We use a balanced amount of turmeric blended with rice and sandalwood, so it rinses off cleanly. If you notice a slight tint, wipe your face with a little raw milk on a cotton pad.
Can I use it before my wedding or a festival?
Absolutely. Start 3–4 weeks before your wedding, haldi or festival for the best glow, using it 3–4 times a week. It is also a lovely, ready-made ubtan for the haldi ceremony itself.
Is Cash on Delivery available?
Yes. We offer Cash on Delivery across most PIN codes in India, as well as UPI (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm), debit/credit cards and net banking.
How long does delivery take?
Orders are dispatched within 1–2 working days. Delivery takes 3–7 working days depending on your PIN code — usually faster in metro cities. Delivery is free on orders above ₹999; otherwise ₹79.
How long does one jar last?
A 50 g jar gives roughly 25–30 applications — about 6–8 weeks with regular use. Store in a cool, dry place with the lid tightly closed and always use a dry spoon, especially during the monsoon.
